Salutations, citizens of Salchester!

As you know, my research into the mythical events in the town of Salchester began with a lengthy letter from Brandy Smith, the daughter of the previous owners of Northwood House.

Brandy Smith disappeared shortly after delivering this letter to the Salchester Gazette. My attempts to contact her were fruitless and no one around the town had seen her...until two weekends ago. There were two sightings of the elusive Brandy Smith, mere hours apart.

The first sighting was by Brandy’s childhood best friend, Cassandra Gilbert. Cassandra invited me for a drink at The Golden Thicket to help me trace Brandy’s steps. On the night in question, Brandy was seen ordering a Gilded Match and drinking it alone in a corner booth. While this may seem like an ordinary activity, Cassandra noted that Brandy’s eyes were an intense hue of gold instead of their regular blue. I tracked down the other patrons dining at The Golden Thicket that evening, and all corroborated Cassandra’s story down to every detail. Brandy did not stay long before exiting through a back door and disappearing into the night. Cassandra tried to follow her, but Brandy was nowhere to be found once Cassandra made it outside.

Rebecca Summers, Brandy’s high school sweetheart, contacted me independently to tell of another Brandy Smith sighting...one that took place only hours after she was sighted at The Golden Thicket! Rebecca was tending to her plants, a luscious collection of greenery and flowers overlooking the Salchester River, when she saw something moving outside. With a closer look, she realized it was Brandy! She opened the window and shouted Brandy’s name. Brandy briefly glanced up at the window before she looked away and continued walking down the river.  Rebecca noticed that her eyes were a fierce gold, almost glowing in the moonlight. Rebecca rushed downstairs, but by the time she reached the river, Brandy had disappeared into the night.

While only two Brandy Smith sightings have been seen around Salchester thus far, I believe there have been more occurrences that simply haven’t been reported. Whether the citizens of Salchester are unaware of the importance of such sightings or are in on a conspiracy to keep Brandy disappeared, I will continue to give the mythical mysteries of Salchester my full attention. Any citizen who has caught even a glimpse of Brandy Smith should contact The Salchester Gazette or myself.
